Putnam woman sues after fall at Tater's

CHARLESTON - A Putnam County woman has filed a suit against a local business after she was injured while a patron at the establishment.
Joyce Summers filed a suit Oct. 6 in Kanawha Circuit Court against Tater's Pit Stop and David S. Tate, who operated the business.
According to the suit, Summers was at Tater's Pit Stop on Aug. 10, 2007, when she fell and seriously injured herself. Summers claims the defendants failed to maintain a safe parking lot on the premises.
According to the suit, Summers suffered more than $3,621 medical expenses and expects to have future medical bills.
Summers seeks compensatory and punitive damages.
Attorney Marvin Masters is representing Summers. The case has been assigned to Judge Charlie King.
